Development of a Curriculum for Emergency Physicians to Teach Transesophageal Echocardiography for Cardiac Arrests: A Kern Six-Step Model

BACKGROUND: The Kern model facilitates the development, implementation, and evaluation of successful educational systems in medicine. It involves six steps that link curricular content to health care needs. One such need is the design of a curriculum to teach emergency physicians practical use of focused transesophageal echocardiography employing a limited number of views for management of out-of-hospital cardiac arrests. The objective of this analysis was to describe the components of such a curriculum based on a Kern model that could be employed to train emergency department providers in this diagnostic modality. METHODS: We predicated our analysis on the American College of Emergency Physicians’ recommendations and goals for use of transesophageal echocardiography to guide emergency department cardiac arrest resuscitation. We then detailed an asynchronous pre-didactic learning experience followed by a synchronous didactic and simulation-based curriculum to teach emergency physicians how to acquire and interpret images for this purpose based upon steps set forth by a Kern model. RESULTS: The component steps in designing a curriculum constructed to teach focused transesophageal echocardiography for out-of-hospital cardiac arrests to emergency physicians are rigorously outlined. These components based on a Kern model include problem identification and a general needs assessment, a targeted needs assessment, defining goals and objectives, choosing educational strategies, curricular implementation, and program evaluation. CONCLUSIONS: Use of a six-step Kern model as a template can facilitate the development and dissemination of a curriculum to teach emergency physicians successfully to employ focused transesophageal echocardiography in the treatment of cardiac arrests. In order to promote its widest dissemination, this model should be pursued in a “train-the-trainer” fashion. In so doing, appropriate education of emergency physicians and their use of transesophageal echocardiography to manage cardiac arrests likely can be rapid and impactful, especially among providers with training and experience in transthoracic echocardiography.

Institutional measures to support the Education – Labour Market system in regions of Russia

The paper analyses the dynamics of unemployment in the Central Federal District regions in 2018-2022. The main issues are problems at the Russian labour market in 2020-2023, and measures of their state regulation taken at the federal and regional levels. The paper considers the measures of state support for the Russian labour market during the COVID-19 pandemic and economic restrictions, and describes their consequences. Also there is an assessment of the role of secondary vocational education system, implementation of state programs and national projects, i.e. the federal projects «Professional», «Young Professionals». Paper listed the professions and specialties in colleges of the Ivanovo and Yaroslavl regions. On the example of the Ivanovo region we consider the establishment of educational and production centres (clusters). The study considers goals, objectives, stages, directions of development, institutional environment, services of the National Qualifications System of the Russian Federation, the essence of Independent Qualification Assessment in details. The study also highlights the role of the state for a secondary vocational education system development.

Practical training of future teachers as prevention of psychological barriers in inclusive education

Introduction. Currently, international organizations pay special attention to the development of inclusive education system, which, taking into account the special educational needs of everyone, provides quality education at the place of residence and full socialization of people with disabilities. Inclusiveness has become one of the main components of the modern educational system, but at the moment there is a problem of occurrence of psychological barriers in teachers, which is poorly studied and requires detailed research. The aim of the article is to consider the problem of preventing the emergence of psychological barriers in inclusive education in students of pedagogical directions through practical professional training, including the development of their communicative and organizational abilities. Materials and Methods. The study was conducted on the basis of the North-Eastern Federal University named after M.K. Ammosov (NEFU) among students studying in the following fields of training: "Special (defectology) education", "Pedagogical education", "Psychological and pedagogical education", in the number of 122 people, aged from 18 to 23 years. The following methods were used: analysis of sources, regulatory and educational-methodical documents of the North-Eastern Federal University on practical training of students, observation and surveys using the method of E.S. Slyusareva "Psychological barriers of teachers in the process of interaction in an inclusive educational environment" and the method "Assessment of communicative and organizational abilities" (V.V. Sinyavsky, V.A. Fedoroshin), statistical processing of the results by U-Manna-Whitney test. Results of the research. The system of practical training of higher education students for pedagogical activity in inclusive education of future teachers, including practice-oriented educational process, socially significant public activity is developed. A separate aspect of this training is the prevention of psychological barriers in inclusive education in future teachers. The application of the developed system of training contributed to the effective development of communicative and organizational abilities of students, and also demonstrated reliably significant reductions in the criteria "barrier of mental tension (anxiety, inability to initiate contact with a child with disabilities, etc.)" Uemp=178,5; p<0,001, and "difficulties of choice and transfer of knowledge about the psychological characteristics of children with disabilities in the process of inclusive education", Uemp=248; p<0,043, which indicates that the conducted preventive and developmental work contributed to a decrease in the expression of the presence of difficulties of choice and transfer of knowledge about the psychological characteristics of children with disabilities in the process of inclusive education. Conclusion. The results of the study indicate the need to rethink the organization and content of the practical component of higher pedagogical education in the aspect of preventing the emergence of psychological barriers in inclusive education in future teachers through the development of their communicative and organizational abilities in the system of practice-oriented learning.

The significance of elective courses in teaching foreign languages

The educational system of our country is developing year by year. On the basis of these developments, we can point to the presidential decrees and the newly adopted law on education [1]. Introduction of digital technologies and modern teaching methods to higher education processes in the "Concept of the development of the higher education system of the Republic of Uzbekistan until 2030" approved by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PF-5847 of October 8, 2019, young people wide involvement in scientific activities, combating corruption, increasing the share of students studying in engineering and technical education, introducing the credit-module system, increasing the share of practical training in specialized subjects aimed at increasing practical skills in curricula specific tasks for improvement are defined [2]. On the basis of the tasks specified in these decrees, the credit-module system of teaching in higher education institutions of our country was gradually introduced. Certainly, since this is a new system, a deep study of the new features of the system is required. In our research, we arc working on the formation of the educational trajectory of students, and in this article, we want to describe the elective courses in the curriculum.

Analysis and Prediction of Students' Adaptation to Online Education Systems Based on Data Analysis and Decision Tree Machine Learning Algorithms

In today's digital age, the popularity and development of online education systems provide students with more flexible and convenient ways of learning. However, students' adaptation to the online education system is affected by a variety of factors, including gender, age, educational background, and field of specialisation. Through in-depth analyses and studies of these factors, the following conclusions can be drawn: gender has little influence on students' adaptation to online education, and male and female students perform similarly overall, but the proportion of male students at high adaptation levels is significantly higher than that of females. The majority of students show medium adaptability, indicating that the overall effect of online education is average. students in the age groups of 6-10, 16-20 and 26-30 years old have lower adaptability levels, and there are more low adaptability groups among students in colleges and universities. students majoring in IT are more adapted to the online education system, and students not majoring in IT have relatively poorer adaptability level. Local students are more adaptable to online education than foreign students. In areas with unstable electricity, students' adaptability is usually lower. The decision tree algorithm predictions showed good overall model accuracy, with higher prediction accuracy for students with high, low and medium levels of adaptability. The test set accuracy was 93.27%, and the precision and recall were both 93.33%, indicating excellent model predictions. In summary, by deeply analysing the influence of various factors on students' adaptation degree to online education and using the random forest algorithm to make predictions, it can provide an important reference for improving the effectiveness of online education systems and provide useful insights for personalised education.

A Historical Overview on Fulfillment of the Right to Basic Education Among Albanians from Middle Ages to Beginning of The Last Decade of the XX Century

Albanians are among the peoples of the Balkans who for centuries have faced the denial of the right to be educated in their native language. The attitude and action of the Ottoman occupier for the prohibition of education in the Albanian language in all Albanian regions during all occupational period was added the effect of the prohibitive action of the religious institutions and neighboring countries that aimed at the territorial annexation of Albania. The realization of the right to education in the Albanian language among Albanian people has been one of the main objectives of the Albanian National Movement for freedom and independence. The declaration of independence also marks the beginning of education in the Albanian language for Albanians as a public right. The decisions of the Vlora government were the first important efforts to realize this right. Economic and social development, the level of culture and traditions, the heritage related to long period under occupation, the geopolitical factors and developments in the first half of the century XX do not promote the process for the development of the basic education system in Albania. At the end of the second world war, Albania was the country with the highest level of illiteracy in the Balkan region. The development of the education system has been one of the main priorities of the Government in the period after the second world war. The right to education was defined as a constitutional right and basic education as a legal obligation for every Albanian citizen. During the period of the dictatorship of the proletariat, the main characteristic of the education system in Albania was its high level of ideologization. The relevance of the presented research lies in the fact that, on the one hand, modern scientific and technological trends and geopolitical and economic conditions of development differ significantly from previous stages of development. On the other hand, given that economic development is carried out in a spiral, it is of interest to consider the experience of using management tools used in the previous round of technological development in the crisis phase of the 1970s, similar to the current crisis phase of socio-economic development of the 2020s. The purpose of the presented research is to consider the possibilities of using the provisions of the C. Lindblom school of education in the interests of the modern development of the education system, taking into account the challenges of the 21st century. The main result of the research is the formulation, based on the provisions of Ch. Linblom’s school of education, of proposals for the development of the national education system taking into account the challenges of the 21st century. The practical significance of the results obtained lies in the possibility of their use in training personnel, including managers and specialists in the system of additional professional education.

The Impact of Metacognition on Scores in the Cloze Tests of the New College Entrance Examination for English in Jiangsu Province: A Case Study of English Teaching in the Flow Classroom at Nanjing No.5 Senior High School

With the continuous reform and development of China's education system, the position of metacognition in language learning has gradually been emphasized. The New College Entrance Examination in Jiangsu Province, which is part of China's secondary education curriculum reform, imposes stricter and broader requirements on students' English proficiency. Under this new situation, it is particularly important to study in detail the use of metacognition in the English subject and to analyze the effect of metacognition on students' performance in the English Completed Gaps section of the New College Entrance Examination. In order to better understand how metacognition can help students improve their performance in the English Cloze Exam, this study will take a process in "Flow classroom" of Nanjing No.5 Middle School as a case study. The English curriculum and teaching methods of the "class" in Nanjing No. 5 Middle School are characterized by the school's high-quality teaching resources. The study also emphasizes practice and innovation to develop students' metacognitive skills. Therefore, through empirical cases, it can be better understood the role of metacognition in actual classroom teaching and practical tips to help students achieve better grades in the College Entrance Examination.

Education is an integral part of the country's social infrastructure and includes the intellectual potential of the state as a whole. The quality of education determines the prospects for development and basic principles that make it possible to predict the conditions of the country's functioning in the long term. Considering education as an exported commodity, the importance of promoting knowledge along with the transmitted national values and attitudes should be noted. That is why many countries use exported educational product as a "soft power" to strengthen their influence under modern geopolitical conditions. The purpose of the study is to develop theoretical and methodological provisions and substantiate recommendations on updating approaches to management of Russian education competitiveness and enhancing export of educational services. As a results of the research the relevance of increasing national education export as a tool of "soft power" under modern geopolitical conditions was established. The reasons preventing educational services export from Russia and the role of managerial contribution to the development of education system at the federal and regional levels are substantiated. Importance of national project "Education" for modernization of the structure, institutions and mechanisms of Russian education and its impact on preferences in choosing specialties by school graduates is clarified. The role of analysis and assessment of export education quality is shown. The potential of educational services, its legal support; positive and negative characteristics of increasing commercialization of universities of scientific and educational components in higher education are systematized. Russian experience of training personnel reserve for public authorities is analyzed and its key disadvantages as a social elevator are formulated. Approaches to training personnel for public authorities and mechanisms for making managerial decisions in the field of public management in China based on "holistic knowledge" are systematized with clarification of disadvantages and advantages of brain centres practices. Recommendations are proposed for gradual transition to new education model based on combination of anthropology, attitude to activity and social factors in a particular country. On the basis of constructive adaptation of Chinese and Soviet experience, proposals are formulated to increase the attractiveness of Russian education for foreign students and improvement of its effectiveness.

Assessment Future Evolution of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs): SWOT Analysis (Global and Regional Measuring)

Introduction. Digital technologies contribute to the rapid development of communications in various spheres of society. However, MOOCs, despite being a young and exciting phenomenon, have both positive and negative aspects. The purpose of the article is to study and analyze the phenomenon of MOOCs in its global and regional dimensions, and assessment their future evolution, identifying the strengths and weaknesses in their development, especially for the development of regional education systems. Materials and Methods. Theoretical research is carried out in the context of a systematic approach to maximize the study of all the features and patterns of the phenomenon under study, which is a system. The research methodology used is SWOT analysis, which helps to identify the advantages, disadvantages, opportunities, and threats for the future of higher education. The method helped to identify, on the one hand, the positive and negative aspects of the development of massive open online courses of the MOOC, on the other, to identify the opportunities and threats of online learning systems for the future development of higher education (global and regional levels). Results. The authors show that open online courses are an important addition to traditional university education, built on the basis of common forms, but working within the framework of a regional dimension. They allow you to increase the level of knowledge and competencies in various industries and beyond territorial borders by building specific online communities). However, the authors also show that this open communication system is considered by many of its participants not as a specific addition to the traditional one, but as its real alternative. The main results of the study is the identification of hidden and unexpressed weaknesses in the MOOC system. Instead of the expected democratization of education and enlightenment, if the existing threats are underestimated, it may lead to degradation and a new phase of the global educational crisis. The scientific novelty of this research lies in the fact that the phenomenon of MOOCs is still young and has been poorly studied in scientific literature. Discussion and Conclusion. In conclusion, the authors summarize the specifics of the manifestations of an open system of knowledge communication (its global and regional dimensions). The practical significance of this study of the authors lies in the analysis and generalization of the problems of the development of online education. The family as a key context for positive youth development. Legal, organizational, and psychological opportunities for integrating the family into the network of support and development of adolescents

This article presents the importance of the family as a context for adolescent development. The concept of positive youth development was presented, which emphasizes strengthening adolescents' strengths, resources and potential, as opposed to theories focusing on the deficits and difficulties of adolescence. The idea is to propose creative forms of spending free time as a way to "break away" from various risky behaviors typical of the turbulent times of adolescence. The basis is the assumption that everyone regardless of previous functioning and experience, has the potential to develop and self-realization. To achieve this, it is necessary to believe in the teenager's abilities and to be surrounded by appropriate mentors who show development paths and create a support network. Among them, teachers, trainers, educators and extended family play an important role, but the primary role can and should be played by parents. The article presents the practical use of the theory of positive youth development in the Polish educational system - both legal possibilities and limitations that require research and development of interdisciplinary cooperation.

THE EVOLUTION OF THE SYSTEM OF SECONDARY VOCATIONAL EDUCATION IN CHUVASHIA (1920s – 1950s)

In the realities of modern times, a big problem for Russia is the shortage of young professional personnel. Important suppliers of workers are secondary vocational educational institutions. In order to understand how the process of “growing” in-demand specialists occurs, researchers are faced with a number of pressing questions. First of all, it is necessary to find out which educational institutions train personnel in what areas and professions? Therefore, the purpose of this study is to study the development of the secondary vocational education system in the 1920s – 1950s using the example of one of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation – the Chuvash Republic. Materials and methods. The scientific and theoretical basis of the article is headed by the scientific principles of historicism, objectivity, social approach, alternativeness, which fundamentally reflect the study of various processes taking into account the dynamic development and interaction of elements. Research results. An independent stage in the development of the education system and secondary vocational education was associated with the proclamation of Soviet power in the country and the creation of the Chuvash Autonomous Region in 1920. In Chuvashia, there was a need to create independent educational institutions. Technical schools became the most relevant type of educational institutions. In the 1930s. There is an increase in the number of secondary specialized educational institutions, which contributed to the growth in the number of specialized personnel. The training of new specialists was carried out at enterprises in Chuvashia, as well as at special courses. The impetus for increasing the rate of training of workers from among the Chuvash population was the opening of factory apprenticeship schools and workers’ faculties. In the 1940s Schools for working youth were created, and evening schools for rural youth began to function. Conclusions. In modern conditions, secondary vocational education is a sought-after level of education, within which personnel are trained in applied professions, which Chuvashia clearly needs. It is no coincidence that over the more than 100-year period of its development, the republic has created a whole complex of secondary specialized institutions, most of which continue to produce specialists. The first such institutions began to form in the 1920s and 1930s. This period included many difficulties in the education system, which was largely due to the lack of professional teachers and difficulties in the logistics of the social sphere. The period of the end of the Second World War created a new impetus for the opening of vocational education organizations, which was associated with the restoration of the state’s economy. By the early 1950s. There were 22 such educational institutions in the republic, which became an important link in the education system of Chuvashia.

ANALYSIS OF SOURCES ON THE HISTORY OF SCHOOL EDUCATION IN THE TERRITORY OF CHUVASHIA (late XVIII – first third of the XX century)

School education system in Russia passed a difficult and thorny path in its evolvement and development. Compared with its Western European counterpart, domestic secondary school has a shorter history. In our country, the first primary and secondary educational institutions providing general education appeared only at the end of the XVIII century. Throughout the XIX century, they were repeatedly reformed; as a result, noticeable quantitative and qualitative changes took place. However, despite this, we can talk about certain continuity in the evolution of the Russian school until the beginning of the XX century. The fundamental breakdown of established general education system occurred as a result of the establishment of Soviet power. During the 1920s and 1930s, all levels and links of the education sector were reorganized. The purpose of the study is to analyze historical sources on the problem of formation and development of the general school education system in the territory of modern Chuvashia. Materials and methods. The study was carried out on the basis of regulatory and archival documents. In our work, we relied on the principles of historicism, consistency and objectivity, considering events in their historical interrelation, analyzing diverse historical sources on the topic of research. Historical-comparative and historical-typological methods of research were used. Based on them, it was possible to identify the main groups of sources and give them a scientific analysis. The scientific novelty is determined by the fact that in regional historiography, it is for the first time that the main groups of historical sources on the topic of evolvement and development of the general school education system in the region are analyzed starting from the end of the XVIII century and up to the 1920s, i.e. until the time of creating the Soviet school education system. Most archival sources are being introduced into scientific circulation for the first time. Study results. The article characterizes two main groups of historical sources on the topic «The History of School Education in Russia». These are regulatory documents and archival materials. They are the most multinomial and important for studying the topic. The practical significance of the study lies in the fact that its main provisions can help to better understand the current state and prospects for the development of domestic educational system. The results obtained can also be used to develop generalizing works on the history and culture of the region. This study is not exhaustive. In the future, it is necessary to pay attention to such interesting groups of historical documents as memoirs, letters and memoirs of participants in the educational process, i.e. teachers, students and educational organizers of the late XVIII – first third of the XX century. Conclusions. Historical sources on the topic «The History of School Education in the Territory of Modern Chuvashia at the end of the XVIII – first third of the XX century» are numerous and diverse. They are representative, giving the opportunity to study different aspects of the topic and help to recreate the general course of the regional school development the within the period under review and identify its specifics.

FEATURES OF THE SCHOOL SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT IN CHUVASHIA IN 1959–1965

The topic of general education school is relevant today, because in any historical period of the country’s development, education and upbringing of the younger generation are the basis for raising decent citizens, patriots of their country. The purpose of the study is to analyze the historical experience of reforming school education in accordance with the School Act dated 1958. Materials and methods. The scientific literature and normative legal acts of the Ministry of Education of the RSFSR, the Ministry of Education of the Chuvash ASSR were studied; based on the results of their analysis the historical prerequisites influencing the comprehensive school formation are examined. In the process of analyzing the school education reform, it was necessary to refer to materials on the history of forming the teaching staff to work in the country’s general education schools, kept in the State Historical Archive of the Chuvash Republic. General theoretical methods were used in the work. Study results. On December 24, 1958 the Supreme Soviet of the USSR adopted the Law «On strengthening the connection of schools with life and on further development of the public education system in the USSR», which marked the beginning of school reform, which lasted until the mid-1960s. In the Chuvash ASSR, implementation of the law began immediately after its adoption. New schools were built in the republic, and their material and technical base was improved. In 1959, seven–year schools were reorganized into eight-year schools, and ten-year schools were reorganized into secondary vocational schools with polytechnic training. In 1960–1965, some organizational measures were taken to improve the nutrition of schoolchildren. During the reforms, the number of teachers with special education increased. Educational work solved issues related to labor education, enterprises began to provide schoolchildren with jobs in workshops, which gave them the opportunity to engage in practical work. Positive developments were observed in the public educational system. Conclusions. When implementing the law on close connection of schools with life, the image of schools and teachers in the minds of the Soviet people was changing. In general, we can note the positive experience of reforming school education in the Chuvash ASSR by the second half of the 1960s. The ideas put forward in those distant years and the experience gained are relevant in modern society in upbringing and educating children.

СТАНОВЛЕННЯ І РОЗВИТОК СИСТЕМИ НАВЧАННЯ ДОРОСЛИХ МІГРАНТІВ У КАНАДІ

Canada has considerable experience in integrating migrants, including adults, into its society and labour market. In view of this, the purpose of the article is to highlight the path and changes that took place during the formation and development of the adult migrant education system. The author has found out that an adult migrant does not differ from a typical adult student in terms of goals, needs, and preferences for choosing various educational programs or training courses. At the same time, it has been noted that an adult migrant has slightly different motives and a stronger motivation to continue studying further. These are determined by various social and personal factors. The article provides a detailed list of these factors and offers a brief description. In view of the above, it has been traced how the educational needs of adult migrants were taken into account within the adult education system of Canada. Also, the process has been characterized at various stages of the formation and development of the Canadian adult education and training system. The following three stages have been distinguished: language courses for adult migrants without andragogic principles of education; the development of civic education and the introduction of the principles of adult education into the practice of language courses; integration of educational opportunities of formal, non-formal and informal education. Each stage introduced both positive and negative changes in the system of adult migrants’ education, which were characterized and substantiated. Prospects for further research related to the analysis of Canada’s educational opportunities for the integration of Ukrainian migrants who were forced to become refugees due to the war are determined.

Роль вузов в сохранении языкового и культурного многообразия регионов Российской Федерации (на примере деятельности Ассоциации финно-угорских университетов)

The purpose of this article is to determine the role of regional universities that are members of the Association of Finno-Ugric Universities and participants in the Strategic Academic Leadership Program "Priority 2030" in preserving the linguistic and cultural diversity of the Russian Federation. The article describes the main activities aimed at the development of the Mordovian, Mari, and Udmurt languages, as well as identifies the conditions for their implementation. The scientific novelty lies in defining the pedagogical potential of activities aimed at preserving the linguistic and cultural diversity of Russia for the development of the higher education system. Additionally, for the first time, an analysis is conducted on the influence of the Strategic Academic Leadership Program "Priority 2030" on the functioning of the Mordovian, Mari, and Udmurt languages. The research revealed that the implementation of the Strategic Academic Leadership Program "Priority 2030" enables regional universities to intensify their efforts to preserve the linguistic and cultural diversity of Russia through processes of digitalization, the creation of scientific innovations, and the formation of network communities for workforce preparation. The main conditions for the effective implementation of such programs can include long-term planning, an ethno-cultural approach, and interdisciplinarity. The activities focused on preserving the linguistic and cultural diversity of the country within the scientific, educational, and upbringing system of a university harmonize the process of forming national-cultural identity and intercultural tolerance of modern students.
